<lb n="0502b16" ed="T"/>龍，遭難荒亂流離在此國，孤單無所歸，依

<lb n="0502b19" ed="T"/>者愴然愍之，語老母言：「可住我家耳，當相資
<lb n="0502b20" ed="T"/>給。」老母喜曰：「吾無以上報，當以小小作使，
<lb n="0502b21" ed="T"/>所作衆務不敢憚勞也！」便停止住。意有悲喜：

<lb n="0502b27" ed="T"/>今入城視之，若得供辦者，當還白之！若無
<lb n="0502b28" ed="T"/>者亦當使知消息。」於是衆許可，各各解住樹
<lb n="0502b29" ed="T"/>下。</p><p xml:id="pT04p0502b2902" cb:place="inline">於是老母還舍啓長者婦，宜用數千錢：

<lb n="0502c02" ed="T"/>券要。」長者婦問曰：「卿在此仰我衣食，欻復
<lb n="0502c03" ed="T"/>用錢爲？持作何等？」老母白言：「私宜急用，不
<lb n="0502c04" ed="T"/>可得說。」於是長者婦以錢與之，語言：「爲持
<lb n="0502c05" ed="T"/>去用，若有時自可還，我以券何爲？」老母得錢，

<lb n="0502c17" ed="T"/>人歎曰：「眞可謂盡信施矣！」皆相謂曰：「吾等
<lb n="0502c18" ed="T"/>亦爲五陰之身行求分衛，今日之食便爲噉
<lb n="0502c19" ed="T"/>人肉也，宜各建意以報施功。」衆人齊心立八

<lb n="0502c23" ed="T"/>其感瑞，何緣致茲？」臣下四出觀察其所由，見
<lb n="0502c24" ed="T"/>城門外道人群集，施者濟濟，其共相慶賴。卽
<lb n="0502c25" ed="T"/>入白王，<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0502027" n="0502027"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0502027" n="0502027"/><anchor xml:id="beg0502027" n="0502027"/>王曰<anchor xml:id="end0502027"/>：「正是所爲，速請呼來！」臣下<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0502028" n="0502028"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0502028" n="0502028"/><anchor xml:id="beg0502028" n="0502028"/>還<anchor xml:id="end0502028"/>宣
<lb n="0502c26" ed="T"/>王命。老母怖悸懼有非禍，報答臣曰：「吾身
<lb n="0502c27" ed="T"/>繫屬長者婦，不得自由。」臣還白此意，王曰：
<lb n="0502c28" ed="T"/>「幷請命來。」於是長者婦聞王勅命，卽與老母
<lb n="0502c29" ed="T"/>詣王所。王問其意，老母具以本末白王言。

<lb n="0503a01" ed="T"/>王曰：「吾爲國主富有自在，然不知奉敬三尊、
<lb n="0503a02" ed="T"/>供養道士，如此老母致感若斯！」王曰：「此母
<lb n="0503a03" ed="T"/>則吾師。」迎着宮內，香湯洗浴坐於師位。宮人、
<lb n="0503a04" ed="T"/>婇女合二萬人，王身受戒爲優婆塞，<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0503001" n="0503001"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0503001" n="0503001"/><anchor xml:id="beg0503001" n="0503001"/>夫<anchor xml:id="end0503001"/>人、
<lb n="0503a05" ed="T"/>婇女爲優婆夷。國人一切普發道意。</p></cb:div>
<lb n="0503a06" ed="T"/><cb:div type="other"><cb:mulu level="1" n="4" type="其他">4</cb:mulu><head>（四）</head><p xml:id="pT04p0503a0602" cb:place="inline">昔道人於山中學道。山中多有蝮蛇，道人
<lb n="0503a07" ed="T"/>畏之，便依一樹下，高布床<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0503002" n="0503002"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0503002" n="0503002"/><anchor xml:id="beg0503002" n="0503002"/>褥<anchor xml:id="end0503002"/>坐禪念定；而
<lb n="0503a08" ed="T"/>但苦睡，不能自制。天人則於空中笑，覺之，遂
<lb n="0503a09" ed="T"/>睡，不解天人因作方便，欲恐令不<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0503003" n="0503003"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0503003" n="0503003"/><anchor xml:id="beg0503003" n="0503003"/>睡<anchor xml:id="end0503003"/>極。夜，
<lb n="0503a10" ed="T"/>天人言：「咄咄道人，毒蛇來矣！」道人大怖，便
<lb n="0503a11" ed="T"/>然燈火，遍求之不見。天人數數不止，道人乃
<lb n="0503a12" ed="T"/>更恚曰：「天人何以犯兩舌？都不見物，云何
<lb n="0503a13" ed="T"/>爲言言毒蛇？」天人語道人：「何不自觀內毒蛇？
<lb n="0503a14" ed="T"/>身中有四蛇不除，如何更從外求之乎？」道人
<lb n="0503a15" ed="T"/>聞天人語，卽自思惟：「觀身歷藏，乃知四大
<lb n="0503a16" ed="T"/>爲五陰六衰所沈沒，無數劫來至今未脫。」卽
<lb n="0503a17" ed="T"/>解四諦苦空非身。天未曉，漏盡意解，六通具
<lb n="0503a18" ed="T"/>足，得<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0503004" n="0503004"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0503004" n="0503004"/><anchor xml:id="beg0503004" n="0503004"/>羅漢<anchor xml:id="end0503004"/>。</p></cb:div>
<lb n="0503a19" ed="T"/><cb:div type="other"><cb:mulu level="1" n="5" type="其他">5</cb:mulu><head>（五）</head><p xml:id="pT04p0503a1902" cb:place="inline">昔有<name role="" type="person">阿育王</name>，於境內立千二百塔寺，後得
<lb n="0503a20" ed="T"/>病大困。有一沙門往省王，王與相見，悲不能
<lb n="0503a21" ed="T"/>自勝。道人曰：「王前後所作功德不可計數，
<lb n="0503a22" ed="T"/>當開大意，莫有恨也！」王言：「正使死至，不能有
<lb n="0503a23" ed="T"/>恨也。所以悲者，前爲千二百寺，各織作金
<lb n="0503a24" ed="T"/>縷幡蓋千二百枚，欲自懸幡散華，於諸寺物
<lb n="0503a25" ed="T"/>始得辦，而得重<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_add_0503a2501" n="0503a2501"/><anchor xml:id="beg0503a2501" n="0503a2501"/>病<anchor xml:id="end0503a2501"/>，恐不卒本願，故自悲耳！」
<lb n="0503a26" ed="T"/>道人語王：「好！」叉手一心，令王悉見一界中塔。
<lb n="0503a27" ed="T"/>道人卽現神足，應時千二百塔皆在王前。見
<lb n="0503a28" ed="T"/>大歡喜，病卽時<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0503005" n="0503005"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0503005" n="0503005"/><anchor xml:id="beg0503005" n="0503005"/>差<anchor xml:id="end0503005"/>，取金幡金華懸諸刹上，
<lb n="0503a29" ed="T"/>塔寺低仰皆就王手。王得本願身復病愈，卽

<lb n="0503b01" ed="T"/>發大意，延二十五年，遂作功德逮得不退轉。</p></cb:div>
<lb n="0503b02" ed="T"/><cb:div type="other"><cb:mulu level="1" n="6" type="其他">6</cb:mulu><head>（六）</head><p xml:id="pT04p0503b0202" cb:place="inline">昔有<name role="" type="person">阿育王</name>，拜爲政位，二十八萬里盡屬
<lb n="0503b03" ed="T"/>之，陸地龍、閱叉等亦奉獻臣使，無不伏者。唯
<lb n="0503b04" ed="T"/>有一龍王，北界所止之，<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0503006" n="0503006"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0503006" n="0503006"/><anchor xml:id="beg0503006" n="0503006"/>池<anchor xml:id="end0503006"/>廣三百餘里，得
<lb n="0503b05" ed="T"/>佛一分舍利晝夜供養，獨不降首於<name role="" type="person">阿育王</name>。
<lb n="0503b06" ed="T"/>王卽擧四種兵到其<anchor xml:id="beg_2" type="star"/>池<anchor xml:id="end_2"/>上，龍不出應。龍有威
<lb n="0503b07" ed="T"/>神，王亦不能得前。如是三往，不能得龍。「所
<lb n="0503b08" ed="T"/>以威神幷者，福勝我故也！吾今當大作功德
<lb n="0503b09" ed="T"/>供養三尊，<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0503007" n="0503007"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0503007" n="0503007"/><anchor xml:id="beg0503007" n="0503007"/>以<anchor xml:id="end0503007"/>往取必得不疑也！」於是修立

<lb n="0503b19" ed="T"/>六種外道生嫉妬意，謀欲敗佛法，自共聚會
<lb n="0503b20" ed="T"/>思惟方便。中有一人善於幻化，便語衆人：
<lb n="0503b21" ed="T"/>「吾欲作幻，變惡鬼形索沙門，<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0503010" n="0503010"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0503010" n="0503010"/><anchor xml:id="beg0503010" n="0503010"/>聞<anchor xml:id="end0503010"/>之必散亡。

<lb n="0503b23" ed="T"/>名摩夷首羅，一頭四面八目八臂，諸鬼之最

<lb n="0503c11" ed="T"/>與之。時從鬼梵志亦有二萬餘人，王作大厨，
<lb n="0503c12" ed="T"/>當與此等。沙彌便取二萬人食，具皆著口中，
<lb n="0503c13" ed="T"/>神足飛著祇<anchor xml:id="beg_8" type="star"/>桓<anchor xml:id="end_8"/>。故未飽，復取二萬梵志吞之，

<lb n="0503c21" ed="T"/><cb:div type="other"><cb:mulu level="1" n="8" type="其他">8</cb:mulu><head>（八）</head><p xml:id="pT04p0503c2102" cb:place="inline">昔有國王喜食人肉，勅厨士曰：「汝等夜行
<lb n="0503c22" ed="T"/>密採人來以供厨。」以此爲常。臣下後咸知之，
<lb n="0503c23" ed="T"/>卽共斥逐捐於界外，更求良賢以爲國王。於
<lb n="0503c24" ed="T"/>是噉人王，十三年後身生兩翅行噉人，無復
<lb n="0503c25" ed="T"/>遠近，於山中向山樹神請求祈福：「當取國王、
<lb n="0503c26" ed="T"/>五百人祠山樹神，使我得復還國爲王。」於是
<lb n="0503c27" ed="T"/>便飛行取之，得四百九十九人，之山谷以石
<lb n="0503c28" ed="T"/>密口。時國王將諸後宮詣浴池戲，始出宮門
<lb n="0503c29" ed="T"/>逢一道人，說偈求乞，王卽許之，還宮當賜
<pb n="0504a" ed="T" xml:id="T04.0205.0504a"/>
<lb n="0504a01" ed="T"/>金銀。時王入池當欲澡洗，噉人王空中飛來，
<lb n="0504a02" ed="T"/>抱王<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0504001" n="0504001"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0504001" n="0504001"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504001" n="0504001"/>得<anchor xml:id="end0504001"/>去還於山中。國王見噉人王，不恐不
<lb n="0504a03" ed="T"/>怖顏色如故。噉人王曰：「吾本捕取五百人當
<lb n="0504a04" ed="T"/>持祠天，已有四百九十九人，今復得卿一人，
<lb n="0504a05" ed="T"/>數已滿，殺以祠天。汝知是，何以不恐懼乎？」國
<lb n="0504a06" ed="T"/>王對曰：「人生有死、物成有敗、合會有離，對來
<lb n="0504a07" ed="T"/>分之，不敢愁也！旦出宮時，道逢道士爲吾說
<lb n="0504a08" ed="T"/>偈，卽許施物，今未得與，以是爲恨耳！今王弘
<lb n="0504a09" ed="T"/>慈寬恕，假數日中<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_add_0504a0901" n="0504a0901"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504a0901" n="0504a0901"/>布<anchor xml:id="end0504a0901"/>施訖還，不違要誓也！」卽
<lb n="0504a10" ed="T"/>聽令去，而吿之曰：「與汝七日期，若不還者，吾
<lb n="0504a11" ed="T"/>往取汝亦無難也！」</p><p xml:id="pT04p0504a1108" cb:place="inline">王卽還宮都中，內外莫不
<lb n="0504a12" ed="T"/>歡喜，卽開庫藏布施遠近，拜太子爲王，慰
<lb n="0504a13" ed="T"/>勞百姓辭決而去。噉人王遙見其來念曰：「此
<lb n="0504a14" ed="T"/>得無異人乎？從死得生而故來還。」卽問曰：
<lb n="0504a15" ed="T"/>「身命世人所重愛者也，而卿捨命所信，世之
<lb n="0504a16" ed="T"/>難有，不審何<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0504002" n="0504002"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0504002" n="0504002"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504002" n="0504002"/>守<anchor xml:id="end0504002"/>志趣？願說其意。」卽曰：「吾
<lb n="0504a17" ed="T"/>之慈施至誠信盟，當得阿惟三佛度十方。」彼
<lb n="0504a18" ed="T"/>王曰：「求佛之義其事云何？」便爲廣說五戒、十
<lb n="0504a19" ed="T"/>善、四等、六度。心開坦然，從受五戒爲淸信士，
<lb n="0504a20" ed="T"/>放四百九十九人，各各令還國。諸王追是後
<lb n="0504a21" ed="T"/>王共至其國，感其信誓蒙得濟命，各不肯還
<lb n="0504a22" ed="T"/>於本國，遂便住止此國。於此國王，各爲立第
<lb n="0504a23" ed="T"/>一舍，彫文刻鏤光飾嚴整，法國王飮食服御，
<lb n="0504a24" ed="T"/>與<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0504003" n="0504003"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0504003" n="0504003"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504003" n="0504003"/>王<anchor xml:id="end0504003"/>無異。四方來人問言：「何以有此如王
<lb n="0504a25" ed="T"/>舍，遍一國中？」衆人答曰：「皆是諸王舍也！」名遂
<lb n="0504a26" ed="T"/>遠布。從此以來號言<name role="" type="person">王舍城</name>。佛得道已自說
<lb n="0504a27" ed="T"/>本末：「立信王者我身是也，噉人王者<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0504004" n="0504004"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0504004" n="0504004"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504004" n="0504004"/>殃<anchor xml:id="end0504004"/>崛
<lb n="0504a28" ed="T"/>摩是，還王舍說法所度無量，皆是宿命作王
<lb n="0504a29" ed="T"/>時因緣人也！」佛說是時，無不歡喜，得福得度，

<lb n="0504b04" ed="T"/>戲時夫人<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0504006" n="0504006"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0504006" n="0504006"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504006" n="0504006"/>挾<anchor xml:id="end0504006"/>左右。時王出戲，道<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0504007" n="0504007"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0504007" n="0504007"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504007" n="0504007"/>過<anchor xml:id="end0504007"/>一大樹，

<lb n="0504b08" ed="T"/>心。後王池中生一金色千葉蓮花，小象見之
<lb n="0504b09" ed="T"/>取持上王，王得以與大夫人使著頭上；小夫
<lb n="0504b10" ed="T"/>人遂益妬忿，念欲害王。雪山中多有道士，於
<lb n="0504b11" ed="T"/>是小夫人採取美<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0504010" n="0504010"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0504010" n="0504010"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504010" n="0504010"/>果<anchor xml:id="end0504010"/>每供養百辟支佛，以後
<lb n="0504b12" ed="T"/>山上臨一嶮處而自誓願：「持是前後施辟支
<lb n="0504b13" ed="T"/>佛福報生於人中，有豪勢、自識宿命，害殺此
<lb n="0504b14" ed="T"/>象王。」卽便放身自投山下而死。</p><p xml:id="pT04p0504b1413" cb:place="inline">神來生人間，
<lb n="0504b15" ed="T"/>爲長者女，明慧遠識端正無比。其女長大，國
<lb n="0504b16" ed="T"/>王<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0504011" n="0504011"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0504011" n="0504011"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504011" n="0504011"/>聘<anchor xml:id="end0504011"/>爲夫人，愛重之。夫人念言：「今<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0504012" n="0504012"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0504012" n="0504012"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504012" n="0504012"/>眞<anchor xml:id="end0504012"/>得報
<lb n="0504b17" ed="T"/>宿怨矣！」便以<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0504013" n="0504013"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0504013" n="0504013"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504013" n="0504013"/>梔子<anchor xml:id="end0504013"/>黃面委臥稱病。王入問
<lb n="0504b18" ed="T"/>之，答曰：「夜夢見象，頭有六牙，欲得其牙持作
<lb n="0504b19" ed="T"/>釵耳。王若不得此象牙者，病日篤矣！」王素重
<lb n="0504b20" ed="T"/>之不敢違意，卽召國中諸射獵者得數百人，
<lb n="0504b21" ed="T"/>而吿之言：「汝等山中頗見有白象身有六牙
<lb n="0504b22" ed="T"/>者不？」皆言：「未曾見也！」王意不樂，使夫人呼
<lb n="0504b23" ed="T"/>獵者共道此意。夫人言：「此間近處實無此象，
<lb n="0504b24" ed="T"/>汝衆中誰有能耐苦大膽者乎？」有一人長跪
<lb n="0504b25" ed="T"/>曰：「我最可矣！」於是夫人與萬兩金，與其鐵
<lb n="0504b26" ed="T"/>鉤、斧鑿及法衣一具，吿之：「汝徑詣雪山中，
<lb n="0504b27" ed="T"/>道當有大樹，左右有蟒，身長數百丈不可得
<lb n="0504b28" ed="T"/>近，斧鑿穿樹從中過去。前行當見大水，有
<lb n="0504b29" ed="T"/>樹木臨水上，取鐵鉤鉤上樹，尋枝進而前度
<pb n="0504c" ed="T" xml:id="T04.0205.0504c"/>
<lb n="0504c01" ed="T"/>至象所住。視其常<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0504014" n="0504014"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0504014" n="0504014"/><anchor xml:id="beg0504014" n="0504014"/>可<anchor xml:id="end0504014"/>頓止處，當下作深坑
<lb n="0504c02" ed="T"/>薄覆其上，在中伺象來時，以箭射之。卽著
<lb n="0504c03" ed="T"/>袈裟如沙門法，象奉三尊終不害汝。」獵者受
<lb n="0504c04" ed="T"/>敎卽涉道去，七年七月七日到象所止處，作
<lb n="0504c05" ed="T"/>坑入其中。須臾象王還，獵者以毒箭射之，
<lb n="0504c06" ed="T"/>象被此箭不從遠來，便以鼻撈其邊地，見坑
<lb n="0504c07" ed="T"/>中人，卽問：「何人？」其人大<anchor xml:id="beg_b" type="star"/>怖懼<anchor xml:id="end_b"/>自首言：「我是
<lb n="0504c08" ed="T"/>應募人。」象王卽知是夫人所爲，自截其牙用
<lb n="0504c09" ed="T"/>與獵者。語人言：「汝還去，諸象見汝卽當害卿，
<lb n="0504c10" ed="T"/>敎却行去，群象必當尋迹追汝。」象王以威神
<lb n="0504c11" ed="T"/>將護，七日之中得出部界，還至本國以象牙
<lb n="0504c12" ed="T"/>與夫人。夫人得之反覆視之，且喜且悔，未幾
<lb n="0504c13" ed="T"/>吐血死近。</p><p xml:id="pT04p0504c1305" cb:place="inline"><name role="" type="person">釋迦文佛</name>在世時，天、龍、鬼神、四輩
